Tabs and expandable texts Fold-out texts are very popular: they offer your users a very good overview of your content. This also means they can navigate your site much more quickly. This is particularly important for mobile users. Nevertheless, the following applies: Your important content should not be “hidden” on the desktop - Google does not penalize this content, but it may be classified as less important. Personally, I don't believe that this will have much of an impact in times of the mobile-first index, but I wouldn't rely on it (yet). Font and font color Some people may be wondering why I'm now starting to talk about the font or even the color. In fact, it used to be common practice for “unsightly” keyword texts to simply be written in white on a white background.
There are still supposed to be SEOs today who hide texts like this or using the display Special Data none statement. But I advise you: stay away from it! Maybe this might even work for a short time - but if Google finds out about you, your site will quickly be completely removed from the index. The following rules apply to fonts: The font must be able to be displayed by conventional browsers. The font is also easy for users to read - for example, no exaggerated flourishes. The font color is not the same as the background color. The text is not hidden via display:none. How long does an SEO text have to be? The correct length of an SEO text depends entirely on the search query and the search intention: Naturally, information-oriented search queries often require a longer text than clearly transaction-oriented ones.

In general, the following rule of thumb applies: A text should be as long as necessary but as short as possible. This means that, although I should cover all the questions surrounding my search query as best as possible in my content, I must not start to ramble - just to extend the length of my text to 500 instead of 300 words. “Holistic landing pages” have been on everyone’s lips for around two years, but they are a controversial topic. You can read more about this in Felix’s blog post on Holistic SEO . And that's part of it! Long story short: Of course, there is more to a good text than just meeting the basic “technical” requirements: If your reader already wanders off during the teaser, no amount of search engine optimized text will be of any use to you. And if this happens too often, your ranking will also deteriorate.
